Walter Quintero

Walter Quintero is a Research Scientist and Information Technology Team Lead at Florida International University’s Applied Research Center (ARC). He has a B.S. in Computer Engineering and M.S. in Engineering Management. Mr. Quintero has over 20 years of experience in Information Technology, management and engineering. He is a key person in multiple IT projects at ARC for the Department Of Energy Environmental Management (DOE-EM) and cybersecurity projects for the Department of Defense (DOD). Mr. Quintero has managed several of ARC’s mentor protégé projects ranging from large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software evaluations to Microsoft tool deployments such as Microsoft Project and SharePoint. Mr. Quintero’s areas of applied research and expertise include enterprise systems for web and mobile platforms, web and database applications and cybersecurity. He assists in managing a team of researchers and analysts. He mentors several FIU STEM students on various IT projects ranging from web development to cybersecurity.
